Their partners need to love them "till the end of time" or at least "till death"; No other person can be found more attractive... It's all lies. They're convenient lies people keep telling each other to shield themselves from the fact that any relationship may fall apart. They're sweet misconceptions they whisper to convince one another that they ARE the "fairest ones of all". Again - it's nice that you refuse to take refuge in such delusions.

Same here. I know my bf has dated beautiful women. I know I'm not the hottest women he had dated. However, he isn't with them. He is with me. So maybe looks aren't everything :)

You don't have to be vain to be offended when a man you love puts up in full public view that he things his ex is hotter than you. It's common decency to not do that to your partner

But you wouldn't be upset if your s/o publicly compared you to their ex and declared that you came up short? Whether or not it's true is irrelevant; the FML is about how absurdly rude and callous it was.
