@9- She probably read something her friend said along the lines of "I bought tickets to blink-182 today!"
how about this: visiting you, any time. your friend seeing his/her favourite band very rare. stop being so selfish. perhaps you could spend YOUR money visiting her...
Assuming that this isn't fake because of how expensive the concert ticket must've been, I'll explain why you need to grow up and not be such a selfish bitch. Did you think about the other expenses involved when visiting someone? Did you think about her having to take off of work/school? Did you think about her side of the story at all? Nah, probably not. If you haven't figured it out by now, YDI
I was actually thinking the same thing, yeah. All the extra expenses are probably what she couldn't afford, not just the plane tickets. Still, FYL, OP. Sucks to be let down and all, but try to have some perspective; it's a much bigger deal to fly out and see someone than it is to just duck out to a concert for a few hours, you know? Better luck next time.
YDI for deciding to have a best friend that you have to fly to see. Hate to break it to you, but best friendships don't typically last long when you're that far apart. Also, a lot of concerts are cheaper than plane tickets. I've gone to concerts for ten bucks.
Priorities. I guess she doesn't feels as close to you as you feel to her, but that only means you need to get a best friend who feels closer to you... or live with it. Everybody has priorities. You can visit her too...
You really think that you're going to win against a concert? Oh hell No! Not when you're such a bitchfuck Stop complaining. You have friends, surprisingly enough. Let's not lose them by being so pathetic, yeah? Yeah.
There's also a time thing going on-- A concert lasts a night, but going out to visit you would possibly last days- people have to miss work, school, etc.. Maybe you're just not worth it.
I think most people are missing the point. Her friend probably lied to her - she could've told her "I really wanna go to this concert this weekend - I'll come visit another weekend" muppets.
Hahaha! Seriously, she can't afford the ticket after she pays for her own expenses for the things she wants to do. Stop being so selfish. Some concerts, especially really expensive ones are a once in a life time thing.

Maybe she didn't had money because she already bought this concert ticket...
Why don't YOU go visit your friend?
