I know how you feel about eye contact making you uncomfortable, OP. But if your boyfriend loves you, I'm sure all you need to do is let him know you're uncomfortable with it. Communication is key to any lasting relationship after all. And I'm sure he will be more than accommodating for your next time. And even if you do have an attack, hopefully he will be willing to be there for you. Letting a significant other see you at that state of vulnerability is hard, but it may break down walls you didn't know you had if you haven't already and it may make you more comfortable with things.
