#3 is right. You don't wear loose clothing or loose hair while operating power tools. YDI and you're lucky it wasn't much worse. FYL though because that sounds awful.
Everyone gets on Snicks for being a "Grammar Shark" (I will not use the other terms). Such a person used to be called a TEACHER!! I sit on a board that votes on educational grants based on written essays by high school seniors. Snicks would be more likely to get grant money than 99% of the people that post on FML (if she could refrain from calling the board members names). I do not want someone functionally illiterate to represent my company.
But we are not applying for university or a job, we are writing on the internet and as much as i hate the leetspeak or lolspeak i think its a bit silly to constantly have a go at people over a little bit of grammer or a little bit of spelling. Not everyone on the net speaks english. I also fail to see how its important to have perfect grammer and spelling on the internet, we are not going to single handedly cause the downfall of the civilised world because we happened to use the wrong your.
Ahh, #68, that's what you think. Not only is FML secretly a university recruiter, but if people don't use 100% perfect grammar on the internet, the world will end. Plus, illiterate morons trying to sound smart on the internet just gets old after awhile. And, as a future English teacher, if I ever have an essay passed in looking like something from this site, the student will probably end up failing my class. It's one thing to spell like a dyslexic monkey on the internet, but half of my graduating class would write like that in every formal essay or project we received in English, and not understand why the teacher was deducting points. Also, personally, I like Snickerdoodles. She's rather intelligent, and makes it so I don't have to go Grammar Nazi on everyone.
Im not sure if the illiterate comment was directed at me but im gonna use my better judgement and assume its not lol. I understand what you are saying about the essays and writing like you do online all the time but hopefully most people realise that writing is the same as speaking, you have your formal writing/speach for school/work etc and your slang for any other occasion. Most people know when to use the different kinds of language. I know for a fact i never would have dreamed of using the same type of spelling/language and grammer for my essays at school and uni that i do online and im not a bad speller online, well i like to think im not :)
Didn't they teach you to put your hair back when you first used a drill or eles it just might rip out your hair? Cause all I remember is my science teacher blabbing on how girls or people with longer hair should put it in a ponytail or bun or something like that.
Just going out on a limb here...you're blonde aren't you?
ALWAYS tie your hair back when using power tools...now you know why.
"As long as doesn't go"? Shame on you snickers.
if you're a guy then you deserved it. men shouldn't have long hair
Regardless of whether or not OP is a man or woman, they deserved it. They ignored one of the most important rules of working with powertools: Keep your hair up and away from the power tool. Also, to say men should not have long hair is ignorant, so **** off. A lot of men have long hair, and it's our choice how to wear it and how we feel comfortable. My hair is less than an inch long, but a good friend of mine has hair down to his nipples, and he's much more comfortable that way. Also, in Canada, it tends to get quite cold in the winter, so having long hair can be an asset, as you can put your hands on the back of your neck to warm them up, and your hair will protect them from the wind while also providing further warmth.
why is grammar so important here?

i agree, you should put your hair up, or at least see that it's getting close to the drill. and is it the size and shape of 2 quarters, like a figure 8? or just a half dollar?
well this is a big ydi that's one of the first rules of operating power tools besides not usig it around water
