YDI. I've been using drills since I was a little kid, and I've had long hair since I was about 8. I've still never caught my hair in a drill. Put it up in a ponytail, and toss it over your shoulder. It will stay put, unless your hair actually isn't long, in which case, pull your head back. Your hair shouldn't hang over the drill.
