Today, I was using a power drill to take down the set for the musical we just finished. My long hair got caught in the drill, got ripped out, and now I have a hurting, bleeding bald spot the size of 2 quarters. FML

i agree, you should put your hair up, or at least see that it's getting close to the drill. and is it the size and shape of 2 quarters, like a figure 8? or just a half dollar?

Stop hatin on snicks. Just because she knows alot and has her mind filled with knowledge beyond your own. Pretty dam childish, I wouldn't expect anymore from a 11yr old. 

If you're a technician on a show, you're supposed to have your hair back if using power tools or if you're in the shop. Your TD should have gone over safety rules when you started the show.

How'd you do that? Neglecting your own safety isn't very bright, and an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure... or in this case, I should say that an ounce of prevention is worth a handful of hair and skin and a fair amount of blood.

Yeaahhh.. YDI for not pulling your hair back. Let's hope you've learned from your mistake. :)

You're an ignorant jackass. Were you previously aware of this? A) there's not a problem with being gay. B) there's not a problem with a man having long hair. Go **** yourself. That didn't put itself as a reply, so this is to #43.

that's a common safety rule that is usually gone over or they make you put your hair in a bun. YDI for not being safe, but also FYL because nobody told you to.

...Still patiently waiting for a snickerdoodles-started thread to not blow up into who likes/dislikes her... Still waiting...

i've been reading these boards for a while, and it seems like no matter what snick says, people wanna hate on her. In my opinion, its a classic case of hating a woman just because she has a brain and isnt afraid to say whats on her mind. AND, if you wanna say its cause shes a bitch, i call bull shit. there are plenty of people who *run* around here being down right douche bags all the time, but i dont see their names mentioned on almost every board. Snick, I'm assuming your a young woman, probably still in high school. You keep doing what your doing girl. dont be afraid to use your brain and speak your mind no matter who tries to hold you down. someday you will end up being successful and happy while the ignorant turds in life are flippin burgers... who will be laughin then? oh, and yah, grammar is important. when you write like an idiot, you look like an idiot... but the nitpickers are annoying.

When Snicks first joined, she offended quite a few people, myself included, by correcting them in a rather insulting manner. She drew a lot of attention to herself by commenting all the time all over the place. She has since stopped being so obnoxious, and is now no more annoying than any other commenter. Unfortunately, a lot of FMLers hold grudges. Snicks is not the only woman to make intelligent comments on here, and therefore, I'm going to have to say it's not sexism. I've never seen any other girl get insulted all the time because she makes intelligent comments or corrects people. I have, however, seen a lot of people get harassed because they were assholes on one day, and everyone decided to hate them permanently. Hating someone, who happens to be a woman, for insulting you isn't sexist, it's just stupid. They need to get over it. And in reference to your last sentence "the nitpickers are annoying." Snicks is one of them. Congratulations on both defending and insulting her. Multitasking! Hooray!

sorry, i'm stickin to what i said before. And i have absolutely seen intelligent comments been torn down for no other reason than being intelligent. I personally havent seen snicks nitpicking, in which i mean... someone spells 'the' like 'teh'... or you spell 'whats' instead of 'what's'... not a big deal. I'm not saying its ALL sexism, but there is definately an element there. I dont think you would see this relentless barrage of attacks if snicks was a dude... people would get over it. so lets just all get over it.
