Today, I held the door for an elderly woman. As she walked through, she looked at me and told me I was a very handsome man and that I should meet her grandson. The woman was my grandmother, and yes, I'm straight. FML

I definitely agree with Setareh23. Having your grandma think you're gay isn't an FML, having her forget who you are absolutely is.

What does it matter that you're straight? It seems more like she just wanted to introduce you to her 'grandson' rather than hook you up.

Well it looks like her grandson is the door man...so the fact here is you don't need to worry about it...either way if you have a brother we all know he is for sure not interested....

She called you handsome, that's a compliment. As for thinking your gay, well, that's not a bad thing, because there's nothing wrong with gayness. I'm guessing she's having memory loss problems, that part definitely sucks. My grandma died before having those issues, so I don't know what its like personally, but I know it must be terrible :(
