Oh my god stop saying that a five year old shouldn't have access to a BB gun. It clearly says it was his older brothers BB gun, so it's hardly the OPs fault if it was left lying around. Which you don't know it was.
bb guns are for hicks. get a real gun if anything. Guns are for competition and protection not anything else all BB guns do is desenstive us. Besides why should your older son have a BB gun being he's older he anything from 6 to 16 so no one from that age should even have a gun. Guns don't kill people People kill people.
aw, that sucks :[ at least your child cares about you? he could've been like "I was going to pack you some weapons to defend yourself, but then I realized that I didn't care." :P
Hey at least you've got a thoughtful kid who cares for u! (=
awww thats so cute :]
Why does your 5 year old have access to a BB gun?
If the five-year-old had access to the BB gun, that's the older brother's fault, not the parent's... Also, do people really think that poorly of BB guns that it's a YDI for even OWNING one? You guys DO realize that they're not real guns, right...? I don't even own one, but I don't see the big deal there.

It sucks when kids do stuff like that, but they really don't know any better. Best is to tell them that they've done wrong, and hope that they won't do it again.
Hope you got compensation or put on another flight for free :/
