That is one strong lady weak kid.
The guy said he was in NY So the guy posting about Canada isn't helpful sorry And Here if you aren't certified you're not supposed to touch them, You do need to ask and like they said she did it wrong, if they're choking they can still breathe and you're supposed to wait until they cannot breathe to start CPR. I took the course a long time ago and even remember that. If she's uncertified a good smaratain law won't help. We were also told, when I did it about six years ago, that if you really hurt them you'd be arrested. so yikes for that lady.
If you do it right your supposed break a few ribs while doing the Heimlich.
when it is done correctly most the times it breaks ribs
@269 r u high?
D:
I am certified in both first aid and CPR, and after reading all the posts saying to sue her I pretty sure that even if someone was dieing in front of me that I wouldn't do anything to help them. **** all of you ingrates that never took your own time and money to learn how to help your fellow human beings.

True, but the Hemmlich is done to get the person choking to cough. OP was already coughing so that lady should have never started the Hemmlich maneuver.
I know right! the bitch totally deserves it I mean come on who does she think she is going around trying to save peoples lives. -.-'... OP although this is unfortunate and I do feel sorry for you I hope you don't press charges, she was honestly just trying to help.
