The nerve of this dude

Today, my boss found me on a dating app. He found it perfectly acceptable to message me and didn't understand why I wasn't comfortable with it. He now wants to have a meeting with me about inappropriate behavior outside of work. FML

What's he supposed to say? He doesn't govern your life outside of work at all! Meeting is pointless. Lol

Whois acting inappropriately here....He's probably just annoyed you didn't want to date...

I've never used a dating app before, but "messaging" you doesn't sound that inappropriate. Trying to date you would be inappropriate, but just sending someone a message wouldn't. :/

it would depend on the exact content of the message, but usually on dating sites you don't message someone if you're not interested in them. if the boss just wanted to talk, he could have just emailed OP through more appropriate channels, or could have spoken to her at work

that guy is about as serious as a monkey hopped up on mtn dew

I would have a rep from HR sit in on the meeting. Sounds like the boss is trying to pull some shady shit on you

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS, THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN SAY OR DO.

IF THE MEETING PERTAINS TO THE DATING SITE ETC, GET UP AND WALK OUT.

Take a friend or union representative with you if you do go, if not, speak to HR about his behaviour, might be worth taking in screenshot of his message to you on the dating app

GET HR INVOLVED NOW. and if you have access to one, talk to your lawyer.

I don't see how that's any of his business.
