Today, I went on a plane and was sitting next to a mom with her 12-year-oldish daughter. Apparently, they decided to have "The talk." On the plane, right next to me. I heard everything, and actually learned new things. I'm 35. FML

12 years old is pretty damn late to get sexual education. Most girls have hit puberty by then, and I hope all girl know what menstruation is before they get heir first period. Also by the time they are 12 they've already heard a lot of things about sex in the schoolyard before they learner it properly from their parents, and THAT is where all the (dangerous) misunderstandings about sex come from.

That was very inconsiderate of them, not for you but the other passengers. It's rude and obnoxious to talk about such things in public places, would your mother sit in a restaurant and give the talk?
