Wow, that is seriously incredibly horrible. What kind of relationship with your parents do you have? How could they possibly think this is ok? Do they realize what they've done? I would lose my mind; I'm getting ready to go to college, and the thought of the money saved up that I NEED just disappearing for such an insane reason...
wow so i love how everyone is freaking out but...this is a lie. unless they got a kiddie pool, they didnt get a pool. pools cost more than 10,000. hell, just refinishing a pool costs 12,000+ so...yeah dont get in a tizzie guys, cuz the pools a lie and even if they got a tiny tiny tiny pool, the tv would put it over the limit. this is a fake. shut your mouth
you suck
Divorce your parents, sue them, tell ALL of your family & your parents friends & co-workers what they did, go to your local news station & see of they will do a piece on how parents rob their own children! Then put an add in the local news paper telling your story. Your parents SUCK SHIT!!! What losers!!! I am really sorry & sad this happed to you. You definetly did NOT deserve that. Good luck in getting back at them?
The night you move away to college, move their HDTV into the back of your car and write a note that says "This TV should pawn nicely for my college fund since that's where the money to buy the damn thing originally came from." Make sure to go to an out of state college. If they call you for their TV back, tell them to go f--- themselves. What are they gonna do? Take your college fund away?
I'd be so pissed if my parents did that. I say you have two options. 1- Throw the TV into the pool, then cut the liner on the pool to ruin it. 2- Sue them
for the people that say that "it was your parents money in the first place." it was a parental obligation to teach him/her money responsabilities. if you open an account before the age of 18, your parents have full access b/c you're a minor. my parents got their van repoed and took all the money out of my 2 sisters, my brother, and my savings accounts. i can relate.

Sue. Sure, they're your parents, but God, being inconsiderate like that. It's your future.
That really ought to be illegal. You get screwed if your parents don't meet their financial aid obligations for your education, so there should be some legal requirement for your parents to meet those obligations.
