...and a merry broken condom night
I can't be completely sure, but if OP's mom remembers when OP was conceived, she was probably a planned child. After you get an unwanted pregnancy, you don't mark the conception day in the calendar, I guess. I wouldn't. So that's one more reason to celebrate, OP, you were a wanted child!
Well I would remember if my condom broke. The day everything changed...
@82 - While my experience in this field is admittedly limited, I'd think there's a rather significant difference between unwanted and unplanned pregnancy, so I'm not sure the two can be directly compared.
I was a planned child. Does that give me permission to be an elitist? Mwahaha
You should find someone to practice the art with.
Well congratulations! Enjoy the praise!
Well at least she remembered. You must be that special or maybe that night was that special to her?
~_e so you were conceived on this day...? how the...?
You see, when a man and a woman love each other very much...
They forget to wear a condom and then ruin their lives.
Conception Day is December 8. I guess if the cake was nice, you wouldn't care that the greeting was over a month late.
I always thought of it more as a person within a person. Conception.
Well you had to be concived one day, else you would not be around. It's a natural thing, sure it is a bit a awkward but then again you could have guessed it.
That must mean you're an October baby like me! Go Scorpios!
Actually if it was exactly nine months, she'd be a libra.
If I was exactly nine months OP is an oddity the average pregnancy is a touch longer than nine months ;)
I'm a Scorpio too, go Scorpio
Maybe it's a mommy thing. I remember my kids' conception days too. Son-- at a Goombay Festival Daughter-- after a Pearl Jam concert. :P
Well aren't we classy?! Then again it wasn't a circus or a family reunion... And your child will hopefully have a good taste in music!
Something I'm curious about, how do parents know which day was conception day? Especially if they had a lot of sex that week?
Well, they'll know the general time. Lol you have a good point. xP
#35 Classy? I'm going to try to not take your comment as an insult. I know the day, not my children. They're too young to know that personal info. The days stick out more since "we" were trying to start a family. And btw my kids are with my high school sweetheart. The only guy I've slept with. Not many can say that. :P
Not many eh? Funny you should say that. The only guy I have slept with is my high school sweetheart/husband as well. Referring to your profile, I can also drive a standard. What a coincidence that I should come across someone else that there aren't "many" of.
39 it's always a rough guess not the exact day unless sex is only had 1 time every cycle ... Often times in the medical field doctors will count pregnancy from the last day of "mom's" final period for this reason. A lot of women will say though that they felt the moment they conceived. That said odd fact in the late 90's they did a study through american blood banks showing that just shy of 30% of kids were not fathered by the man on their birth certificate... Food for thought ;) in Britain something like 1 in 6 paternity tests through the courts show the father on the certificate is not the daddy...
at a concert..... now that's "rockin"
You sound like the coolest parents ever!
#84, I don't think you're doing your math right... "Not many" means there will be others like her. It's a coincidence that you are like her. Statistically, I'm pretty sure she's still right.
Well my parents had 3 kids within 5 days of each other, all around 9 months after my dad's birthday... Conception Day celebrations must be pretty intense D: There's definitely fireworks, since he was born the day after the fourth of July :P That's awkward to think about, sorry Op!

I must introduce this fantastic holiday to my family. More presents for me.
Well... Happy Conception Day!
