Today, a bird got into the walls of my house through a hole. I located where it was by following the chirping and scratching sounds, and drilled a hole to get it out. I pulled out the drill, only to find the drill bit bloody. Suddenly, no more chirps. FML

Well, you tried to do the right thing...

It probably would've died soon if it was stuck in your walls anyway.

Now lets wait for the PETA supporters of the FML community to go total apeshit over an obvious accident.

This seems a little odd. How big of a drill was OP using? You'd want to cut a small door for the bird to get out of. Also you wouldn't want to cut or drill exactly where the sounds were coming from abut maybe a foot or two over. I can't see there is a frantic animal trapped in the wall let me use a precise tool to burrow into just where it's frantic noises are coming from.

omfg you animal murderer.... your terrible

OMG I think I'm gonna throw up!! I just can't stop picturing that poor bird! Well he probably would have died anyway but still

Poor bird :( But you can't really be blamed too much; you wanted to do the right thing to get the bird out; it's not like you were purposefully sadistic. Just make sure you get the bird out now though; you don't want the bird rotting in your walls...

Just because a person is mean by accident, that doesn't excuse their actions. I saw a rabbit with so much matted fur it couldn't move and it had shit caked on it's butt so it couldn't poop any more. Should I have given the owner her rabbit back because she did not know and not of given it toASPCA
