Today, a bird got into the walls of my house through a hole. I located where it was by following the chirping and scratching sounds, and drilled a hole to get it out. I pulled out the drill, only to find the drill bit bloody. Suddenly, no more chirps. FML

Well, you tried to do the right thing...

It probably would've died soon if it was stuck in your walls anyway.

I've never came across a dead bird that smelled.

Twee! Bird is dead. Long live the bird!

At least you can remove the dead bird ! It would have died anyways this was just quicker

You definitely deserved it! Why would you use a drill to try to get him out?

Couldn't done that again in a million years..but hey you tried to help thats all that counts man.

Seriously? The moment I read you got a drill out I knew it was going to end badly. You maybe should have drilled the hole a little further awY from the bird. My heart goes out to the bird. FTBL.

In all seriousness, why would you use a drill? I assume the walls are drywall, which means, a utility knife (adjustable length of blade for those that don't know) would have been the appropriate tool to use. It is not a hard fix either. You messed up and from the comments here, people would have sadly done the same as you.

to those saying "it's okay", you realize the place is going to stink up soon.

My grandma had a similar experience with a cat, a lawn mower, and a hole in the ground.
