Today, a cashier asked me if I would like to donate to breast cancer research. Since I have already made my donations this month, I politely declined. The cashier snorted and said, "Maybe you'll feel differently if someone you love got cancer." I'm a two-year survivor. FML

If I was you I would have told the cashier how you're a 2 year survivor and then asked to speak to there manager to make a complaint. The cashier had no right to say that to you and what if it had been someone who had lost someone they loved to cancer but you know needed all there money for food or like you had already made a donation it is just plain insulting and someone like that should not be working in customer service.

You've made your donations this month? I dunno, but I don't put a cap on how much I can donate each month. If I can afford to go out and go shopping for things, I can afford an extra dollar for a good cause.

All the more reason to donate the dollar you cheap ass

"may I speak with your manager?" comes to mind.

Congratulations on Being a Survivor - I'm a three time survivor and hear stupid comments all the time but I ignore all of them because just knowing I'm alive to see another day makes life seem totally amazing .

That's ******* disgusting what a stupid mole. Get the bitch fired

Why do strangers feel entitled to tell you what you should do? Don't feel bad OP. Even if you hadn't already donated, she has no right to tell you which charities you should support with your money.

Should have told her that you were.

you should have told her that...i understand that they have to ask for donations and that itself is a good thing. they shouldn't to make you feel bad if you don't
