Today, a customer asked if we stocked gluten-free water. Then she got pissed when I laughed at what I thought was her joke. FML

It's next to the gluten free bottled air, duh.

Tell her you don't stock it but she could try checking in the toilets in the restroom

Wow that's sounds like something my ex roommate would ask

Totally agree with most people. I work in retail and am always getting dumb questions from customers. They will stand in gardening department and ask where the cds are. Or they stand right next to what they what and ask where it is. Even my boss says it is a running joke and laughs about it.

Yes, in aisle 10. Right next to the sugar-free sugar.

Wow, this has seriously gone too far. It's like if people without peanut allergies started asking if their food was made in an environment exposed to nuts. Like why do you care, it doesn't make a difference to your health?!

I have celiac disease which pretty much means I can't eat gluten, a lot of people have no idea what gluten is and I've been asked if there's gluten in egg and more. This woman probably knows someone who can't eat gluten and therefore has no idea what contains gluten and had to ask. Oh and to everyone hating on people who go on a gluten-free diet, I love it because more people request gluten-free food and therefore they will have more variation!

you know, she might not be smart, but you still shouldn't have been so rude. you could have explained to her. YDI

sounds like most on here don't have a food allergy, you would not believe what is actually mixed into most processed foods in order to make the said food more addictive to the consumer. most "gluten free" products have a ton of extra chemicals to remove the gluten. that being said if you just found out you can't eat this or that you may go overboard being scared.

Water is not a processed food unless it's flavoured
