Today, a customer called the restaurant I work at to ask if our coupons were always valid, or if they expired on the expiration date printed on them. FML

Actually totally valid. Loads of places accept coupons after their expiration date.

Many places accept expired coupons. But good job highlighting your own ignorance while trying to make fun of somebody.

That is all because of ridiculous stores like bed bath and beyond that take expired coupons. They are leading the way to consumer stupidity.

many stores accept expired cupons so, I guess you are the stupid one lol

Tom Wahls and Bill Grays except expired coupons so it's a valid question

Actually, some places like bed bath and beyond, will take coupons from like 2007! There are some restaurants that allow expired coupons in my area as well. I hope OP didn't lose his temper with the costumer.

Steak n Shake usually will take expired coupons. Retail stores usually don't seem to from my experience, but restaurants seem a lot more lenient.

I'm thinking that might be bc the coupon is given out by their own chain. Stores have to return vendor coupons to the company that issued them for reimbursement.

I don't think this is really an FML because nowadays so many companies take their expired coupons so that is a valid question.

Yeah, working in any kind of service industry lets you see all kinds of stupid people. I once had a woman ask me if the bacon cheeseburger had bacon on it.
