Today, a customer came in to the Pizza store where I work and complained that the food they had purchased had a strand of black hair in it. After some deliberation, my boss decided to fire me. He is the only staff member there with black hair. I shaved my hair 2 weeks ago. FML

Boss is a jerk, unless it was a nut hair of yours.

Sounds like you're better off now, you can get a new boss who isn't such a d*ck. Win in disguise?

If this is a large company, complain to corporate or hr or whatever. I'm sure they can get you your job back.

Is your boss the cook? that´s the only explanation I have. Otherwise it maybe was the costumor´s hair. but it´s ridiculous.

The question is... does this person WANT their job back?

Complain about wrongful firing, indeed! #15: Um, most people say that. Are you still one of those assholes who just calls people "retarded" instead? I don't think it's the rest of us who sound like children!

that doesn't even make sense to fire you - you should sue him.

Well, it is your job to make sure the food looks ok before it is served. If it was a bug sitting on top of the food would you fire the bug?

This sucks, and your boss is obviously a dick. I find it hard to believe that someone would get fired for one hair in someone's food, even if it wasn't obvious that it couldn't be theirs. But to those saying sue...seriously? It was his job at a PIZZA place. Cut your losses and move on.

wow. you shld sue him or get help from erm whatever workers association thr is ard yr area

That sucks, but your boss is an a-hole and you'll be better off in the long run. To those that say sue the place, most states have "at will" employment laws, meaning the employer can let someone go for little or no cause. Unless you can prove you were discriminated againtst, you probably have little or no case.

I'd still say sue him. Unless you want nothing to do with the d*ck head.
