Today, a customer complained about me for getting their order wrong. This would have been fine if they hadn't sent their ten-year-old kid to order for them. FML

Well if the kid ordered incorrectly FYL. Doesn't mean it couldn't have been your fault, everyone makes mistakes.

The motto has changed in recent years, it's now "the customer is usually an asshole or an idiot but smile and nod anyway incase they sue or put up a yelp review "

So wait were the parents lazy pieces of shit who forced their kid to order or was the kid begging them to let him/her order?

The parent was a lazy piece of shit forcing their kid to order and when they did get their order they yelled that everything was completely wrong.

Wow. I hate parents like that. I mean, allowing your kid to be independent and even encouraging independence is fine. But that should be up to the kid and there should be limits. Forcing your kid to do things for you because you're lazy is stupid though. It shows you have no moral fiber (at least of the good kind)

Ugh Op I'm sorry. I've been serving for 6 years, I feel your pain. Let's just hope this turd doesn't come to your store again

Yeah they should have came in to make the order to make sure it was right or write the order down so the ten year old knew it correctly

Well correct it free of charge just hope it was more or the same price originally...

I feel ya. I work at Pizza Hut, and more often than not little kids place orders. They stare at you like you're supposed to know what they want, and they're like... "I want the cheese pizza... Right?" No, I don't know what you want kid. I get it, ordering can be intimidating sometimes, but if the parents want the kid to order either A) write down the order CORRECTLY and hand it to the kid Or B) order it yourself, because sometimes kids get excited over something in the menu and will order that instead.

Most 10 year olds can order food.

that's why I refuse to do business with a child.

Well they could have sent a 10 year old to teach him/her responsibility and how to buy stuff in public and socializing. My mum does it a lot with my 11 year old brother.

Maybe you should've asked the parent if the order was correct.

If you work at a little Caesars then I might have seen this happen.
