Boy bands can be a bit annoying but that usually doesn't say much about the everyday character of their fans. Mayhaps you should have given her a chance before writing her off for her music taste.

I think the only time it's fair to say no based on the desktop is if it's something really offensive or rude. kinda stupid to say no just because it was one direction.

Just because she's a fan of one direction doesn't mean she's not intelligent, music taste has no correlation to intelligence.
