Today, a guy commented on a picture of my boyfriend and I kissing on facebook, and said to please stop 'testing' him. He also messaged me saying how he wishes he could get a girlfriend like me, that I'm gorgeous, and that he wants to go out with me. I'm his cousin. FML

#147, "my boyfriend and I" is incorrect. And yes, kissing is a verb, but "my boyfriend's and my kissing" is correct. It is "my boyfriend's and my" act of kissing. It is not commonly said this way anymore, but it is correct.

In this context, it would be 'my boyfriend and me'

Please get off the Internet and return to your Kindergarten class.

No, "my boyfriend and I" is correct. "My boyfriend's and my" would only make sense if the kissing was owned by you and your boyfriend (like a pet, i.e. my boyfriend's and my cat). "My boyfriend and me" is never correct, gramatically speaking, although coloquially accepted.

I think he was kidding about going out

That so gross! I agree with trackmagic, he was probably just kidding, hopefully!

No. He wasn't kidding, and I can't believe you guys are arguing about grammar.

@ 158: WRONG. What do you mean "my boyfriend and me" is never correct? That's completely untrue. Look kids, you say "my boyfriend and I" if it's the subject--if you and your boyfriend are the ones doing the thing in the sentence. Example: "My boyfriend and I drove to the country." You say "my boyfriend and me" if you're the object in the sentence--if stuff is happening to you. You would say "Squid juice spilled out on my boyfriend and me." Saying "my boyfriend and I" there would make the sentence wrong and disgusting. An easy rule is to cut out the other person in the sentence. Do you say "a picture of I" or " a picture of me"? You say "a picture of me". So it's "a picture of my boyfriend and me." I hope this clears it up.
