How can you tell he was the guy that you blocked online whom you have never met before? Maybe he posted his real picture on his profile lol
It could be she recognized his picture, but more likely, he started talking to her about their conversation on the Internet. Something along the lines of "so did you get those pictures I sent you?" Or "why did you block me" etc. Either way, this is super scary and I'd go to the police station immediately!
