Today, a new fire alarm system is being installed in my building. Not only does the alarm go off incessantly, but the elevators stop running when it happens. I live on the 12th floor. FML

Hey this is my post! They've actually been working on the fire alarm system for a few months, but this is the first time I needed to use the elevators when they were out. I needed to pee really badly so I ran up the stairs (in business attire) only for them to start working as soon as I got to my floor!

This sounds like a problem that will most likely exist for years to come with no end in sight. Best course of action: Move to Siberia and adopt a herd of elk.

Call 911 every time the alarms go off... *OH MY GOD, MY BUILDING'S ON FIRE AND WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE... AGAIN* Watch how fast that problem gets fixed!

You've now burned three days worth of calories. Good job!

Well I don't know your situation, but maybe this will help Silver lining: an excuse to use the stairs for good hard exercise! :D I hope the situation is resolved soon

Just reading this has aggravated me. So sorry to hear D:

Lol I guess this is kind of a double FML :)

Happened to me too. Only my home is on the 36th!

74 I don't usually post on dated FML's but your stupidity has caused me to do so. Are you ******* stupid?

Kind of answered your own question there, buddy.

Walk up and down the stairs you fat lazy duck

Ever heard of stairs, it's only the 12th floor, how many times do you go up and down in a day? Or just go out for a bit.

Well now you can say you never skipped leg day?

At least you don't live on the 22nd floor of a high rise with no power, like me.

Um, how do you not know you're supposed to take the stairs in an emergency?
