Today, a very good friend of mine said he had a question to ask me. Jokingly, I threw my arms around his neck and said, "Oh yes, yes, a thousand times yes!" When I sat back down, I saw tears in his eyes, and he said, "You've made me the happiest man alive" as he pulled a small box out of his coat. FML

What the hell is this guy doing proposing to her if all they've ever had up until this point is a platonic relationship? The guy sounds like a creeper. The hell it isn't. This isn't an FML. It's definitely a YDI. There's no way she couldn't know how the guy felt about her. We're not that great at keeping those kinds of feelings secret- and I've never known a guy who wasn't nervous as hell about popping that particular question.
