Invest in a pair of earplugs. That should help you sleep. And as for the family, just apologize, they shouldn't hold it against you.
@48: Their child is mentally disabled, possibly downs syndrome or something similar. You know that there is no medication that cures that, right? And I hope you don't mean that they should be sedating her. First off, the disorientation and grogginess of such drugs would cause her more panic, not less. Secondly, she's a human being, not a nervous dog that can't handle long car trips.

Show it anywayBecause he had 3 days of interrupted sleep so he asked them to maybe keep it down? Fair enough if you ask me...
Yes so that's a reason to make everyone uncomfortable! Maybe invest in earplugs or something else because people nowadays have nothing better to do than complain. I feel for OP but at the same time theses things happen
If people are comfortable enough with having sex loud enough their neighbors can hear, I doubt someone asking them to keep it down would make them that uncomfortable.
It's okay, OP. Hopefully the noise gets better!
I'd say wait for the kid to get used to the new house before buying a pair of earplugs
I am slightly confused by this. Do you mean OP should wait for the kid to get used to the house *rather than* buying earplugs? Because the way you have it worded, OP would be buying earplugs after the kid got used to the house, at which point the earplugs would no longer be necessary.
While there's no way you could've known, there was also no reason for you to automatically assume his wife as the cause of the sounds
I'm saying, you speak the truth and these faggets are still downvoting...i swear people are so sensitive these days, dont want to be told the truth.
Have you been around heavily disabled people? Sometimes when they aren't able to formulate speech or cry normally they make noises that could easily be confused with sex sounds.
I'm sorry OP. At least you were nice and respectful about it. There is no way you could have known. I would just buy some cheap earplugs until she fully adjusts to the move.
Lmaooooooo this is the type of stuff that'll happen to me
at first i read "after 3 days of uninterrupted sleep" and i was like jeez, how do you do that?
I agree there's no way you could know, but even if it was sex, you don't just say, 'I'm having trouble sleeping; can you keep your wife quieter during your private time?' You say, 'I'm not sure what it is, but noises from your side keep waking me up. Is everybody ok?' If you said anything more than that, YDI.
Immediate reply from neighbour "What sort of noises?" And if they had been sex noises OP is in a worse place than before.
Although there was no way they could have known, OP probably should have gone with a vaguer approach and not have said they thought it was their neighbor's wife during sexy time.

No way you could've known OP. Don't be too hard on yourself
Not like you could've known OP, sorry.
