This one is worth taking to traffic court. Have copies of the repair bills with you to show the judge. Definitely fight this one.
ydi for not properly maintaining something as important as the brakes. consider $130 a bargain compared to someone's life

lol, that's odd
lmao @ 9 , u made my day. :P
A $130 bill, as in, a fine for 130 dollars. Why does nobody understand this FML, omfg
You should be able to fight the ticket in Court, provided you show the proof that your breaks have been fixed the event. You should also explain how you did eventually stop as well.
$130 is lucky though-usually it's like $167. You still deserve it for running a red and joyriding-last time I heard, 1 year old wasn't legal.
I get it. OP said that he was going down hill when his breaks went out, so he must've zoomed by a speed camera and it caught him in the moment of freaking out over it, aka "******** himself." Frankly, I laughed. But OP gets a FYL. Take it to court with records of your breaks being fixed (receipts, etc) and of course the ticket and picture. I'm sure the story would amuse the judge.
or might get a dick judge who changes the ticket to improper breaks.
That was my first immediate thought. I don't get why everyone else is taking this so literally.

Fight the ticket in court, I'm sure you'll get it overturned or at least lessened.
