Today, after a week of looking for my car keys and being forced to drag my family around on public transportation, my wife found the keys in our car's ignition. FML

Didn't you consider checking in your car to begin with? Sorry for the week long nuisance OP, but YDI.

Live and learn and make a spare copy before you misplace them again.

Unless their car is like mine and a duplicate costs $250.00. Sometimes making a spare isn't an option.

It's not that easy! A "spare" for my car is also $250.00!

why didn't your car's come with 2 sets?

If you can afford the car, you should be able to afford a key... Unless your car is worth more than your home!

If you go to a dealer it's £200+. I went to Tesco key cutter and got one for £17. It doesn't have the remote or anything, but it works just fine.

The problem is keys like mine with a radio transmitter in it. You can cut a key with the exact same grooves and it will only open the doors, not start the engine.

I'm imaging you moving furniture around, emptying out desk drawers, and even checking the fridge.

After of searching everywhere else? You didn't consider going back to the car to check? Lazy...

There's nothing more uncomfortable than trying to act natural after you do something that stupid. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience.

You're just lucky your car wasn't stolen

Oh, it almost was. But the thief, just like OP, couldn't find the keys sitting right in front of him, and didn't know how to hot wire a car. So he gave up too.

That's exactly why I stick to my Nimbus 2000. No keys necessary.

Nimbus is too mainstream. I'm getting a firebolt.

**** y'all's brooms, I trained me a Hungarian Horntail! I MAKE my parking spaces.

It's still too mainstream - I use the one I clean my room with.

Psh I'm using my hippogriff, I'm tired of brooms.

Hippogriffs are so last year... I take my thestral, much more reliable!

Sorry but,YDI OP. You always have to check where you least expect it to be. I would have looked everywhere.

Where you least suspect it? That's the first place you check lol. Car, halltre then dresser

Do you also misplace your glasses when you were wearing them the whole time?
