That's when I'd leave a note saying "ok, I'll pay the $100 for my phone..meet me here @ (whatever time)" & then have management &/or the police nearby to arrest the jerk that stole your phone....theft is theft, regardless...& if they try to say it was a practical joke..have them fired/ arrested anyways...that'll teach them not to mess with phones or anything else
If you really want the phone, pay the bastard.
Thief is criminal offence. Get that bad jerk.
Tell the teacher or principal, and the kid will get suspended. It's good that you know what happened to your phone. You can also get a new one. They're only like $50.
Ask to see your schools security cameras
You should call the cops or just get a new phone.
In South Africa, if you are caught stealing in the work place, you are fired on the spot. You have proof in the form of the note, that this person (whoever it turns out to be) stole your phone and wants money for it. You have a strong case! Show this idiot you're not afraid to nail their ass to the wall.
You either get it back or you don't.

Just show that note to your boss, coz its 'ain't fun damn it could have someone's private information in it as for pictures videos texts etc...
