Today, after changing his mind 3 times, my long distance fiancé told me he wasn't coming to see me for Thanksgiving. Out of anger, I threw his clothes, car magazines, and whatever else I could find in a huge, messy pile. During this, he walked into the room. He was going to surprise me. FML

He changed his mind three times, should've done it once then the surprise.

Its just a day where you eat turkey..

Ok, I get being upset. But if a long distance relationship is going to work you have to trust that the other person will only not see you if there is genuine reason. If you don't have a strong enough relationship for that you probably shouldn't be in a long distance relationship at all - let alone an engagement! It sounds like the ring is an attempt to hide your insecurities. I speak from experience on that particular matter, and trust me it never ends well.

Well, if it was just a pile, it can be reorganized, right? And if he did change his mind three times, yeah, that would be irritating for him to change it again at the last minute. So I understand your frustration. People saying you had a temper tantrum have obviously never had to endure such frustration. You could have done a lot worse in which something got destroyed. If all you did was throw things in a pile, I'd say he got off easy.
