Today, after months of being pestered to do so, I finally read the first Harry Potter book. I hated it. Upon hearing this, my girlfriend posted the fact on Facebook, where I immediately received tons of abuse and eventual shunning by my friends, family, and coworkers. My girlfriend just laughed. FML

Today, my daughter turned 11. Since she LOVES Harry Potter, I decided to write her an acceptance letter to Hogwarts. When she saw the letter, she screamed and showed me. When she found out I wrote it, she told me she hated me, started crying, and stepped on my foot. FML

The earlier books are dreadful, in my opinion. I'm a huge HP fan, but I've never read the very first book. I've read all the others, but the first is the worst to me. If you don't like it, that's fine. Not everyone does. And if you have a bunch of people being rude about it, you need new people in your life.

Ok people shut the **** up so they didn't like the book. Who cares? It's his choice of what literature he likes to read. Maybe he doesn't like. magic/fantasy books. Maybe he likes Sci-Fi. It's his choice of literature, so let him like what kind of books he wants to like.
