Today, after months of being pestered to do so, I finally read the first Harry Potter book. I hated it. Upon hearing this, my girlfriend posted the fact on Facebook, where I immediately received tons of abuse and eventual shunning by my friends, family, and coworkers. My girlfriend just laughed. FML

Today, my boyfriend finally convinced me to watch Harry Potter for the first time. I was bored out of my mind the entire time, and by about an hour in, all I could think about was how badly I wanted to punch Hermione for being a rude little know it all. FML

Today, my daughter turned 11. Since she LOVES Harry Potter, I decided to write her an acceptance letter to Hogwarts. When she saw the letter, she screamed and showed me. When she found out I wrote it, she told me she hated me, started crying, and stepped on my foot. FML

I'm 90% sure that you people who don't like it now just didn't read it when you were younger. It's better for younger audiences. Also, for those if you saying that us fans are 'nerds' or '6th graders' are a bit off. To you I may be a 'nerd' but seeing as I'm a high school honors student in college prep courses, I accept that. I do, however, resent the title of '6th grader' thank you very much

I know it's been years but what's with all the YDI? I bet at least 95% of them are pissy Harry Potter fanboys. I have never been interested in it at all or cared about it in the least. Hope you broke up with her.
