Are you objectionable in some way you think doesn't matter but is clearly obvious? I mean, yes, it does suck for you, but I think you have some idea of why she'd get chosen.
This is silly. They obviously just said that to make you feel better. She probably kicked the crap out of you in the interview or there was something on her resume they liked. 4 years 140k for me and it took me 9 months to find a job. Deal with it.
