Remember, grammar can mean the difference between being taken seriously, and just looking like a moron. If you think about it, he has some very valid points. OP absolutely sounds like an impulse buyer. You'd think that while he was spending all that money on a music studio, at some point over the years, he'd take time to find out if he has any music talent. 99- I seem to have this knack for crude translations. What I read was, "Keep putting more money into it. When you've invested about $15'000 into it, you'll always have to keep it new".....? Okay, never mind, I couldn't follow his train of thought any further than that. Maybe by the time you've dropped that much money into it, Op still won't have any talent, but still have the best equipment.....which still makes less sense than before, because if I lacked the ability to drive a used junker car, upgrading to a Ferrari wouldn't solve the problem. :p Sorry Kandi, it appears I overstepped my linguistic abilities and failed miserably. Record other people for money. Lots of musicians are on the look out for a recording studio. But I suggest you get yourself a basic sound engineering course first, that stuff's golden if you are a complete beginner. Practice yourself on whatever instrument you want to play, but a good idea is to record yourself practicing (this is what the Beetles and Jimi Hendrix did). The reason for that is that you get to hear what you sound like, you don't have to remember everything you did (you can just listen to bits again and decide whether or not you like them, you can combine different pieces, etc). As a musician I also advise that you have a regimented, but fun, practice session. If you practice correctly and learn everything you can, all you will need to get good is about half an hours practice per day.
