Today, after spending about 5 years to go back to school, get my life together and get a real job, I now make about $100 less a month. I used to work as a dishwasher. FML

You don't just go back to school, and start a new job at the top. When you start a new career, you have to work your way up. You should be glad you got your education and you have a job at all.

That is why I am scared to go back to school. Not worth it with all the school bills.

To joke a little on your comment, Kindergeld won't help OP much, if I were him I'd not be looking fwd to get kids soon :) Also, economy is slowly starting to point upwards again, it's worse in many other EU countries.

lolz, but if he's younger than 25 years and studying....wait...scratch that he's out of college already xD Okay I agree with you BUT! If he has like 7 at once like our Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth he'd be rich :D

I laugh because education is not always the answer. I went to school for a couple years but found myself making pretty good $ so I dropped out. I now work alongside others in my profession who sometimes make less than me but went to big universaties : )

The difference is that those with the degrees will pass you by at some point; you may have the experience, but when a certain promotion comes along, those with the education AND the experience will surpass those with just 1 of the two.

The difference between them and you, though, is that they know it's spelled universities. That's one of the positive sides of studying! Sorry, just had to do it >.

I learned a long time ago its not what you know, its who you know...network kiddies NETWORK!

I say it's not who you know, but who you blow. Not in all cases, but I think it's more common than people want to believe.

Kindergeld does not cure the world hunger...

What do you do? Even grocery stores and fast food restaurants pay more in a month. Get more hours?

YTDI. Unless you had a specific opportunity to exploit after school you should barely hope to break even for years after school. Any financial planning book or college graduate could of told you that. Next time take 5minutes to plan your life in advance.

worthless undergraduate degrees ALL over the WORLD = psychology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, communications, and a few others.

Hmmm, I wouldn't be so quick to judge. I have a communications degree, and less than two years out i'm working for a Senator as his communications advisor and earn $60,000. I think Erindub is right, it's all about who you know and what kind of a personality you have. Good luck finding a better job OP.

have you given pimping an opportunity for income?

Make friends, and talk to the people you already know. Try to find someone you know to link you to your career. A lot of it has to do with who you know.
