Today, after taking my clothes out of the washer, I noticed at the very bottom of the washer my boyfriend's USB stick I found a couple of days ago. The USB stick contains his English essay, and his novel he has been working on for almost six months. FML

You can just dry it off in the sun... don't use it for about a week so that it dries thoroughly, then it should work just fine. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Yeah, it should still work once it dries out (flash memory=no moving parts). Should be a lesson to your boyfriend, too—clean out your own damn pockets!

Actually because these drives are powered by the computer and contain no batteries or moving parts, you can use them immediately after washing them. I've done this many times, heck sometimes it's good to give em a good wash.

Yep, the only damage comes from actually putting an electrical current through it. Not an FML at all.

You apparently don't know the mystery of men's pants. I'll let you in on a secret; unlike "girl pants", where the pockets can barely fit a cell phone, guy's pants have pockets that can fit a small car. Exaggeration aside, I don't have a pair where there's a pocket (watch pocket in jeans excluded) that doesn't at the very least have enough room to fit my entire hand with fingers spread. I've got some pairs where I can just about fit my entire forearm in as well. It's not that we don't check our pockets, it's that we miss stuff.

Its not that we dont have big pockets tho its that we dont keep things in em! Check yo pockets mister then things such as this wouldnt happen lol. I used to live with a man and i tell ya i coulda bought new shoes every week with the money and stuff i found in his pockets!

My flashdrive went through the wash 3 times when I was in middle school. It always worked afterwards.

He shouldn't have put his USB stick in the laundry basket if he didn't want you to wash it.

You might be able to save it still. Dry it out, and I mean really dry (let it sit on the window sill in a sunny area for a couple of days) and then test it. If you test it when it's wet it'll fry it. Fingers crossed it works!

angry female friends, I implore you to please re-read the FML. She was removing her laundry. She saw the usb drive that she found days before. It was in her own pocket.
