As longs as you did't like run it over or something, its fine
It's fine, I've washed my flashdrive and it worked fine after it dried off.
Most USB drives will still work after its been washed, just stick it in the dryer
Your boyfriend is an idiot if he didn't back up a novel he had been working on for six months.
they can dry out and work fine, nothing more to say really, is there?
USB drives are solid state, it's fine.
If it is important, there are several different companies that do flash drive recovery. Maybe try find one.
i agree with #102 i have a fiew USB sticks ... and have washed all of them by mistake ... they all worked fine after that .. :)
it might still work. i lost count of how many times my flashdrive went through the wash, and it still works. i even left my headphones in the wash, and i'm still using them without any damage

You can just dry it off in the sun... don't use it for about a week so that it dries thoroughly, then it should work just fine. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.
Yeah, it should still work once it dries out (flash memory=no moving parts). Should be a lesson to your boyfriend, too—clean out your own damn pockets!
