I'm gonna go ahead and believe in my heart that she was making the cake to try to comfort you and/or in memory of the baby. It may not be true, but I just can't let myself believe that a person would celebrate something like that. Either way, I'm very sorry for your loss OP.

Maybe she was glad because she doesn't want her son to have a kid yet, because she suspects he would either be a horrible father--or she is just a bitch and doesn't want her baby taken any more away from her than you already have. Moms are freaking nasty sometimes, and very possessive of their sons.
