How is this an fml it's not that bad lol
Unless you really need a bunch of fancy stitches most people could get by or be quite happy with a vintage sewing machine with all metal gears. I own a Singer 221 Featherweight, a Singer 206k and a Singer 500A Rocketeer. Depending on the type and brand of machine it was 10 years might have been the end of it's lifespan. Some of the lower end machines are not really made to last forever because they contain a lot of plastic parts. If it's a higher end brand and model it may be worth it to see if it can be repaired.
my mother had a lifetime guarantee on hers, she returned it after 6 and a half years when it broke.
Sounds like a notalwaysright.com story
Sewing machines actually have a really long warranty.
Haha okay now that's something my mom would do!
Don't feel bad that is something my family would try. Everyone know that kind of person!!
I'll be looking for this story on NotAlwaysRight.

Let's hope she doesn't try sewing them after they don't take it back.
that's just crazy trying to return something you've owned for ten years!
