Today, after waking up, I walk into the kitchen to see my two-year-old with a blue sharpie in hand as he says, "Look mom, color!" He left no appliance or cabinet untouched in his coloring masterpiece, and I'm still trying to figure out where he got the sharpie from. FML

Apparently mommy can't go to the bathroom, because that's where I was for a whole 2 minutes while he did it.

Only thing worse than an unsupervised two year old is two unsupervised two year olds.

A common practice is using the restroom almost immediately after waking up. Being a parent doesn't exempt an individual from this.

Hope you didn't turn the air blue after you saw the masterpiece.

OP, I know from my little brother doing this, nail polish remover works to remove it. Unless it is unfinished wood. Then it's time to paint!

dry erase marker will remove sharpie ;-)

Toothpaste cleans marker pen right off.

One day he may grow up to be a fine artiste!

Sounds like something I would have done!

Well if it helps anti-bacterial takes sharpies off really well and hairspray does as well...

I managed to get sharpie of the walls three years after my sister wrote on them

As with most oil pens/marker anything with alcohol will take it off fairly well, rubbing alcohol does best I've found. It breaks down the bonds that hold the oil together. All these other things people have mentioned in this post are just alcohol derivatives. You're better off going straight for the pure.

Rubbing alcohol should take the ink off. it works for me.
