Today, after waking up, I walk into the kitchen to see my two-year-old with a blue sharpie in hand as he says, "Look mom, color!" He left no appliance or cabinet untouched in his coloring masterpiece, and I'm still trying to figure out where he got the sharpie from. FML

Apparently mommy can't go to the bathroom, because that's where I was for a whole 2 minutes while he did it.

Only thing worse than an unsupervised two year old is two unsupervised two year olds.

A common practice is using the restroom almost immediately after waking up. Being a parent doesn't exempt an individual from this.

OP just get a lot of hand sanitiser and wipe it down. Gets it off everything. As a teacher I'm good at getting sharpie off things!

How can he get the whole kitchen in two minutes?

Kids are very resourceful and very cunning

#148 is right... the FML says AFTER WAKING UP. OP sleeps on the toilet?

So the child was unsupervised while you napped? Unless you woke up, checked on the child and then went to the bathroom. Either way not much fault here. Children are unpredictable. Even when you think your child is asleep they are up moments later creating mayhem.

At least they're nontoxic! I know...

It is truly amazing what a 2 year old can do during a quick bathroom break. I feel your pain, mine has done the same thing. Don't listen to the idiots telling you to watch your kid better, you can't keep an eye on them constantly.

Magic eraser works like a champ! I got sharpie off the kitchen table. Good luck!

171, it is FABULOUS, but it sadly doesn't take the permanent marker off of everything. I speak from experience. OP, I feel your pain.

Mr clean magic eraser will clean it off easily if you haven't found anything that works yet.

So you took your child, assuming that is you in your pic, EVERYWHERE with you?

No, his wife probably did which is why he has no clue!

Rubbing alcohol takes off permanent marker. I have 3 kids and wood flooring. Trust me. It works.

pure acetone nail polish remover. boom.

Better than peanut butter everywhere like in the outlets and light sockets lol

Try Lysol kitchen cleaner spray My kids are teens and this has removed a sharpie more than once. Good luck.
