Today, after waking up, I walk into the kitchen to see my two-year-old with a blue sharpie in hand as he says, "Look mom, color!" He left no appliance or cabinet untouched in his coloring masterpiece, and I'm still trying to figure out where he got the sharpie from. FML

Apparently mommy can't go to the bathroom, because that's where I was for a whole 2 minutes while he did it.

Only thing worse than an unsupervised two year old is two unsupervised two year olds.

A common practice is using the restroom almost immediately after waking up. Being a parent doesn't exempt an individual from this.

Time to whoop his ass! Don't give me BS about a two year old not knowing better. They are testing what they can get away with.

So hitting him is an appropriate solution?

The science is already in. Beating children, otherwise known as "whooping ass," does not make them "good." It's what people do to alleviate their own anger, and to make them think they disciplined their children. A beaten two year-old with a sharpie will still destroy your kitchen.

From the time I was two or three until I was seven or eight, I got spanked when I did something wrong. And guess what? I learned not to do that anymore because I didn't want to get spanked. No, I wasn't beaten every day. But spanking a child once when they do something wrong teaches them not to do it again.

use hairspray (aqua net) to get it out! I saw an infomercial for life hacks and this was one of the experiments. it works :)

You actually believe anything at all seen on an infomercial?

And people ask why I don't want kids

Easy fix! Rubbing alcohol will take it right off ☺️ I've had to do my fair share O.o

magic eraser?? and a pack n play. keep that little sucker secured! lol my boys found my mascara once....that was a fun clean up. Good luck Op

Use a dry erase marker to get it off.

Use 91% rubbing alcohol and maybe a bit of hand sanitizer as well that will take it right off... Time to lock up your sharpies

Rubbing alcohol will get it off of your appliances, wood, and floor. Acetone will get it off your walls, use a green and yellow sponge, but use a light touch so you don't strip the paint. 100% acetone. How do I know? Mother of a 2 1/2 year old and a professional house cleaner. Best of luck in your cleaning endeuvers.
