Today, after weeks of practice, I proudly did 9 chin-ups on my chin-up bar. As soon as I was done, my 11-year-old daughter came over and banged out 12 of them. Then she wiped her sweaty hands off and did 8 more. Then she gave me pointers on my technique. FML

Well she does have years of practice on those monkey bars compared to your few weeks... Don't feel to bad OP.

Dang OP nice, I've been doing pull-ups every second day, I can do about 16 at once. Just keep practicing! Show her up one day..

Don't worry it is easier as a kid, they are lighter, whereas you probably have a lot of dead weight to pull. Plus, adults being less active, their muscles aren't just as used to exercise. Just give it time, you'll break your muscles in and you'll be getting more chins than a chinese phone book.

Or he could give up, eat lots, let his body go to waste and still end up with more chins than a Chinese phone book ;)

Look at it this way at least she's putting that energy to a good cause and not reeking havoc elsewhere, give here a challenge to see how many she can do ;)

Take into account the body mass difference, she probably weighs like 30+ whereas you probably weigh double or may be even triple that. You've got more weight to lift than she does . I definitely won't be able to do even 1 even though I weigh 55kg.

with your "you might even wiegh 200 lbs" comment i feel really fat bieng 250 lbs... and i con only do 7..

It's a hell of a lot easier for kids to do pull ups and stuff. Don't feel bad OP if you only weighed as much as your daughter you could probs smash out fifty pull ups easy.

Who cares? She's a kid, they're WAY better at that stuff naturally. When I was little I could do monkey bars all day, I can probably barely manage one now lol
