Today, after working and saving up money for an entire year, I bought a 2001 VW Cabrio. I showed it to my friends, they all laughed at me and told me it was a girl's car. FML

Today, my car was in the shop so I borrowed my wife's VW Beetle convertible. It's really embarrassing because it's a girlie car and it's full of little stuffed animals. At a stop light a man asked me if I'd like to borrow one of his testicles because "every man should have at least one." FML

Today, my parents said that they bought me a car. I had been begging for one for a year and they always said that I would have to pay for it myself. I got really excited and went to the garage to see my new ride. It was a Hot Wheels car with a note saying, "Save your money". FML

Today, I finally bought a car, after saving up for a year. My dealer had told me it was a good buy, so I snapped it up then and there. On the way home, the rear axle practically fell out of the car due to frame rot. My dealer wants to buy the car back at half the price. FML

Today, after months of riding a bike through the rain, I finally saved up enough for a car. It was a little aged, but ran fine. That is, until a tire blew out, the engine stalled, and the battery died within one week. FML

Lol, that is one of the worst first cars to own. Good luck paying all of the mechanics bills in the next few years. YDI for not doing any research before you went out and bought a used car ...and not even asking your friend's opinion about it.

I'm a straight guy in the same predicament. After owning an 01 cabrio for 6 years I can tell you my answers to friends giving shit about owning a "chick car." 1) "Chicks dig my car" 2) "Under-Compensating" (I spelled this out with refrigerator magnets on the back of my car). Many have chuckled. But as a Cabrio owner I advise you to sell the damn thing and get a Honda. The car is a piece of shit and you will replace literally every electrical sensor while you own it.
