Today, as a science teacher, I did a science experiment in front of a class. One of my students asked me if it was "photoshopped." He was being serious. FML

It amazes me how some of these kids have no perception and differentiation of reality and virtual reality... Or is this all a lie? Are we in the matrix?

if it's real life, how could it possibly be photoshopped...stupid kid...

Stupid is as stupid does. But as a teacher, you should probably reach out and give the kid some tutoring.

Reading is not your strong suit, is it? OP said the student was seriously asking.

Some people either just don't think when they speak or are really dumb... FYL for sure.

That's pretty bad, but for somebody young it's actually somewhat understandable. That word has been used to mean "faked" for most of their lives. Words have a tendency to lose/change meaning over time in that way. For example, I have never used a rotary phone. For my whole childhood, I thought to "dial" meant to push a button, because that's how it was always used.

Unless OP is the instructor for an elementary level science class, it's definitely not understandable. Anyone over the age of 10 should know that Photoshop is not synonymous with "fake" when referring to actual events.
