Today, as my lame excuse to not give a guy I met at a club my phone number, I told him I didn't have a cell phone. Guess what I checked when he asked me what time it was a few minutes later. FML

You should have just straight up said no.

That guy is pretty smart to trick you into revealing your lie. You could have told him you were holding your friends phone, or something like that.

If you don't want to tell them no straight up then why don't you just say sorry I don't hand out my number to guys I don't know. If he asks why just say I've had a problem before and I'm not looking for a repeat. If he keeps on just say I'm sorry and walk away.

Tell him no, or tell him that the cell phone belongs to a friend.

You should have just said no and if he persisted, given him a fake number.

Just say you don't give your number out to strangers. I've given my email out when I didn't want to give my number.

I've made the same excuse before. But I didn't keep the phone on me. Lmao!

You should have told him it doesn't have service anymore and you only keep it around as a clock/calculater/camera.
