kinzielee tells us more.
OP here. Yes, my parents are religious. Orthodox Jews. I never thought anything about it, I'm from Central Europe. Things were not this standard. it was always just a "for religion exemption". Now that I understand what the hell is up, I have gotten all the shots I can get as an adult, my arse hurts, my arm hurts, my thigh hurts. But I don't have to worry about whooping cough and polio. So there is that. Also, Chicken Pod as an adult, I was told it could be much worse, I only have some scars. THANKFULLY!!!! :D

This... this is why people make fun of us...
Unless you are young (school age) many people have not got the chicken pox vaccine because it did not come out until 1995. since you are an adult, then you should have thought to get it yourself. I am 31 and just went and got it done myself. I did get a mild form of it because of the vaccine but better that than get the real version and be utterly miserable.
With due respect, it is totally your own fault. Your parents may not have vaccinated you as a child, but you are 26 now, which means your health care decisions have been in your own hands for a number of years. You should have gotten off your own butt and gotten yourself vaccinated!
Why do you need them to vaccinate you?
Not tying to be rude but if your 26 why didn't you just get yourself vaccinated?
I thought only fruitcake was served at Christmas. Guess which relatives shouldn't babysit your offspring- or be left alone with them...EVER!!!
You're supposed to get them as a child.
Is there a chickenpox vaccine? I was fully vaccinated as a child and I got chickenpox.

Hopefully they're not those idiots that thinks vaccines cause autism or avoid them for stupid religious reasons.... but I wouldn't be surprised. Sounds pretty likely in this case tbh.
It's not chicken pox. It's leprosy. I know. I read the bible. I'm qualified to speak on medical matters.
