Today, at my internship, I was told we were going to do something fun. I was excited, until I found out that this "fun" thing was labeling 500 folders. FML

Luuucckkkyyyyy!!!! My job was to pick up the 1,486,987,637 tiny pieces of paper that were all over the floor after the lady with the hole-puncher was finished with her job! Did mention that I wasn't allowed to use the vacuum cleaner either? This was all in a hospital where people are constantly walking in and out of the room I was 'working' in..

You must be old then. If you assume it took you a second to pick up each, then it took you 47.2 years to pick them all up. Of course not considering sleeping, eating, etc.

Then if she did she wouldn't be complaining about not being able to use a vacuum. I also don't think a broom would work in a high traffic area because people would be in your way and smash your piles.

Quite_bored- The number was an exaggerated estimate. I was allowed to use a broom. But have you tried to sweep those things up on a carpeted room? It's pretty hard!

Sorry Op, but in general work is never going to be completely fun. There's always gotta be some kind of "work" involved. If it was completely fun you'd be paying them to do it. At least you got an internship though, hopefully that'll secure your future a little more.
