Today, at work, a woman demanded a refund for a video game. She had no receipt, so due to company policy, I couldn't refund her. She reacted by loudly accusing me of being racist, then yelled that she'd see me in court as she finally stormed out. FML

I hate customers like that. They think the louder they get the more likely it will go their way.

Customers who expect an exchange without a receipt are just idiotic. I see this situation on a regular basis where I work, where something will be half price one week and then the next week someone who "bought this stuff yesterday" come in looking for a full refund without a receipt to verify the dates

i despise customers like this. they don't get what they want so they instantly pull the race card. i got called racist by an indian woman for not giving her husband a bottle of water, after he'd told me he didn't want a drink with his meal. and my sister got called racist because a woman hadn't been paying for her storage space so she got taken off the books. bear in mind this 'racism' took place over the phone, so my sister couldn't even SEE the woman

She has no argument to hold in court. You do. You're okay

When I worked at Best Buy we were required to immediately stop talking to a customer if they ever mentioned court. All we were allowed to do from that point forward was refer them to our legal department. People would get so mad when we did that. Most of them immediately withdrew their threats.

What else could you do? If she took it to a used store she would get something back for it but not everything...and normally if it has been opened it can't be returned...

typical women over reacting because they can't follow the rules

I feel your pain. I worked at a GameStop once...

You should be laughing and glad. You can counter sue after she loses. You can sue her for your lost wages if they put u on probation and all of the court costs from when she sued you and you suing her.

While working at Victoria's Secret a few years back someone asked for a military discount. Company doesn't offer one, so I informed her of that to be yelled at and accused of hating America, our troops, and the first amendment. Obviously I missed the part that says 'freedom to have 10% off everything ever'. Oh, and this was after talking and figured out our husband's were deployed together. -___-

55... Actually that is only a tiny fraction of my life. If you really want my life story all you had to do was ask. It involves snakes... Lots and lots of snakes.

#55, I'm pretty sure we enjoyed that story more than your bitchy drivel.
