Today, at work, a woman demanded a refund for a video game. She had no receipt, so due to company policy, I couldn't refund her. She reacted by loudly accusing me of being racist, then yelled that she'd see me in court as she finally stormed out. FML

I hate customers like that. They think the louder they get the more likely it will go their way.

Customers who expect an exchange without a receipt are just idiotic. I see this situation on a regular basis where I work, where something will be half price one week and then the next week someone who "bought this stuff yesterday" come in looking for a full refund without a receipt to verify the dates

Some people just don't know how to treat others... FYL, OP. I'm sorry she was an idiot.

Why so those ******* white people cry racism when things don't go their way?

Some people are so stupid, they shouldn't be allowed to go out in public.

Some comment about the court thing not being a big deal led to this persons ******* life story..

Dang. When I worked retail we had to give store credit to people like that. I know how it feels though. I think everyone should experience what it's like to work in retail, fast food, and an office. Maybe hard labor. And then people would treat others a little nicer.

i know what you mean. working as a waiter back when i was younger gave me a new appreciation for what servers have to go through and deal with on a daily basis. now i always try to take it very easy on them when im out to eat and i tip much better than i probably would otherwise. they deserve it. in most cases anyway..

I just recently quit the movies, for me it wasn't just the annoying customers, but also the blockhead employees and managers that had nothing better to do but start rumors and drama for no reason, and if you were not cool with the people who worked in concessions, as was with me because of the shit my sons dad (now my ex, because I can't stand cheaters), then the managers didn't like you and those who worked floor in the movies I worked at (century 20) had NO chance whatsoever in advancing to management position. They also make you work so much but the pay sucks, and the amount you do isn't worth the pay. The people who worked at the theaters I worked at were crazier then the dumb customers who come In daily, and after 7 months, I was like no thanks, I'm over the drama, and found somewhere more professional to work, because the managers there were not fit to be managers, that's for sure. Ok end rant/ life story.

Nothing worse than customers like that. Believe me, I know.
